Mijatović: Politicians must show they have sense so that the 90s are not repeated

SDP Vice President Vojin Mijatović is not optimistic that the constitutional crisis in BiH will be resolved quickly, but he hopes that a new generation of politicians will not allow the mistakes of the past to be repeated. We publish his social media status in full.

"The constitutional crisis we are in will last even longer, and there is no doubt that it will require both nerves and energy.

Now is the time for serious policies and a state-building approach, without hasty moves and politicking. This is not a period in which one should be guided by the low impulses of analysts who, like the clairvoyant Džemila, view the situation from the position of personal frustrations.

This is not a time when decisions should be made by politickers whose only motive is to become the very same people they claim to be fighting against.

This is a time when the new political generation must find a way to talk and define new relations for a longer period that will bring stability and development to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Everything that is happening in BiH is our own affair and obligation to overcome, and enough of the whining and shifting of responsibility onto the international community, but at the same time we must clearly tell them that if they will not help, let them not hinder.

The challenges are great, but I am an optimist, this is the biggest test for my generation, whether we have more sense or are the same as our parents who lacked the strength and sense and did everything they did in the nineties", says Mijatović.
