Mijatović wrote to Kalabuhov: Reduce the presence of intelligence officers throughout BiH who are roaming at your behest

(Patria) - Vojin Mijatović, vice-president of the SDP, sent an open letter to Russian Ambassador Igor Kalabuhov.

"Bosnia and Herzegovina is an independent and sovereign state that is a member of the United Nations and has its own Constitution and its own institutions. The Russian Federation is a partner of Bosnia and Herzegovina and a friendly country, as we have proven many times so far. You are an accredited ambassador of a friendly country in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and therefore a friend and guest in our country.

As a friend, you should understand that you have no right to interfere in the internal affairs of our country, especially in the foreign policy priorities of the country where you are, after all, only a guest. Bosnia and Herzegovina will be a member of both the EU and NATO because that is the position of the majority of citizens in BiH, and whether there is consensus on that is our internal matter. Whether you will attend the meetings of the PIC Steering Board or not is exclusively your decision, but that does not give you the right to lecture anyone in our country.

If you are a friend of our country, please ensure that the tax debt of the Oil Refinery in Brod, which is owned by a Russian company, is paid! This is a debt that exceeds hundreds of millions of marks. I believe that even in Russia, you cannot do business if you do not pay taxes. If you are a friend of this country, please reduce the presence of your intelligence officers throughout BiH who are roaming at your behest; friends do not do that!

Your Excellency, BiH is in Europe, and methods where dissidents are attempted to be silenced in the most brutal ways, as unfortunately done in the Russian Federation, as we saw in the case of opposition leader Alexei Navalny, have no place here.

Your Excellency, when you are a guest in a country, you respect the host; that is a matter of civilization and home upbringing," stated Vojin Mijatović, vice-president of the SDP BiH.
