Mijatović: Thanks to the 'Greens', these are European values

(Patria) - The European Greens adopted a Resolution at the 34th session of the party's Council, which mentions Bosnia and Herzegovina among other things. 

"Once again, I want to thank the Green MEP Tineke Strik, with whom I discussed this topic in Brussels three days ago, Saša Magazinović, Ahmed Husagić and I", said Vojin Mijatović, Vice-President of the SDP.

As stated in the Resolution, the European Union strongly opposes any border changes and supports the further development of our country.

"The EU strongly opposes any border changes, especially on ethnic lines. We strongly advocate for the continuation of dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina and for the implementation of mutually agreed steps. The EU stands behind the Dayton Agreement and will fully support the further development of Bosnia and Herzegovina as a multi-ethnic, multi-religious, and civic state," it is stated.

Furthermore, the Green party states that it is necessary to appeal to all political actors in BiH to contribute to respecting the territorial integrity and sovereignty of BiH.

An appeal should be made to all actors in the country, especially to the political leadership of Republika Srpska, to contribute to full respect for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the country. Dayton established a special responsibility for the International Community, especially the EU, towards Bosnia and Herzegovina, part of the Greens' Resolution relating to BiH:

Also, the Resolution stated that the European Union should impose firm sanctions on the member of the Presidency of BiH, Milorad Dodik.

"The EU should therefore impose firm sanctions on the Serb member of the three-member Presidency and others responsible for the current political crisis. We recognize the influence that the Serbian government has in the region and we are waiting to see that it is not used to incite conflict but to reduce tensions and further work on reconciliation between all six Western Balkan countries," it was emphasized in the Resolution.
