Mihajlović expects indictment against Zubac to be confirmed

The head of the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption of the BiH Prosecutor's Office, Božo Mihajlović, told the BiH news agency Patria (NAP) this morning that he expects the BiH Court to confirm the indictment against Goran Zubac, director of the State Investigation and Protection Agency.

Mihajlović, who is also the deputy chief prosecutor, did not want to comment further on this case, except to express his expectation that the indictment will be confirmed. According to regulations, the BiH Court has a period of eight days to confirm or reject the indictment, or, which rarely happens, return it to the BiH Prosecutor's Office for revision.

Otherwise, Zubac is charged with dereliction of duty, after he reacted in the case of the terrorist attack on the BiH Presidency on February 7 this year during riots and demonstrations in the center of Sarajevo.

The BiH Prosecutor's Office has not yet announced whether it will seek custody for Zubac, and the procedure for his suspension from the position of director of the state police agency is expected to be initiated, reports Patria.
