We actually don't know where all this stale Sarajevo air comes from

The problem of air pollution leaves serious health consequences for the population every year. Only the KS Government could come up with decisions like odd-even, as if that could solve the core of this ecological catastrophe. After only a day and a half, the questionable decision on dividing car usage was abolished. Although the Government claimed to be receiving information from experts, it was all on shaky ground.

Central Bosnia is problematic. Pollution is worst in Tuzla, in the Zenica-Doboj Canton, and Sarajevo Canton. In all other areas, the air is clear and sunny. For those who remember BiH's powerful pre-war industry, this situation is illogical. Why can't even the rain that has fallen completely wash away the pollutant particles in the air? Why is this situation only present in Tuzla and the Bosna River valley? The problem for all authorities in the mentioned cantons and in the Federation is, unfortunately, the incompetence of those who lead us.

Although we have been one of the most polluted areas for years, this government is deaf to everything; money is wasted on unbelievable foolishness, but there is no room for science and experts to act. We do not have a serious scientific institute that would research the causes and origins of the consequences of this pollution that attacks us year after year and is devastating to human health. The fact that politics took it upon itself to make decisions and supposedly solve this desperate situation was tragic in itself. Instead of letting experts say what they have to say, they rushed in first. What we all know has been proven: that politicians are universally ignorant. Whose conscience allows them to stand before science and expertise and deliver their shallow speeches.

Of course, people of science are fine with that. Namely, we do not have institutions that, apart from mere recording, are capable of managing the situation and searching for solutions to this pollution. The intelligence that could help solve it is unorganized and has no way to work and act. We actually have no answers as to where this terrible stale air with so many heavy metal particles, devastating to human health, comes from. We know almost nothing because we have not thoroughly researched these phenomena.

We don't know why, unlike ever before, there are no winds that used to somewhat clear the air. Precisely because of this, those who know something are happy to remain in the shadow of political smart alecks, essentially windbags and experts ready to speak on every possible topic. In fact, never before has such a void been seen, left behind by politics, the best possible job in this country, with huge privileges, and without any responsibility.

A bunch of unstable characters have pushed their way to the front lines to promote their insane system of false values. They are ahead of economics, law, even healthcare, ahead of every segment where science must prevail and where there is no room for cheap pontification.
