Mesihović: I ask citizens to take the Crisis Staff's recommendations seriously

SARAJEVO, (Patria) – Minister of Health of KS Rusmir Mesihović told the Patria News Agency that the situation has become more complicated in Sarajevo Canton regarding the coronavirus, given the appearance of an infected person in Zenica who traveled from Italy, where the entire country has been quarantined.

He announced that the Crisis Staff will meet again today and issue new instructions for the population, and he called on the residents of Sarajevo to seriously implement all prescribed measures. He noted that they are in constant contact with Sarajevo International Airport, where there is also an information point for those arriving in BiH.

“There is no room for panic, but I ask citizens to take all recommendations seriously,” said Mesihović.

For now, Mesihović could not confirm the information that all gatherings involving more than 200 people will be banned.

Otherwise, five cases of coronavirus have been discovered in BiH, while dozens of people are under epidemiological surveillance or in self-isolation.
