Mešalić: The "Trojka" coalition wants to hand over the Constitutional Court of BiH to HDZ and SNSD, the campaign against Kovačević is for the same reasons

(Patria) - Head of the DF Caucus in the FBiH Parliament, Mahir Mešalić, appearing on BHRT, warned that a behind-the-scenes battle is underway for the election of two judges to the Constitutional Court of BiH.

- HDZ, amidst all this confusion of the "Trojka", is finding an opportunity to ethnically conquer the Constitutional Court, and the goal is to bring back judges from RS, so that HDZ and SNSD can completely control the Constitutional Court.

Mr. Mioković is leading this process on behalf of the "Trojka", and his colleague Bošković is doing so on behalf of HDZ. The intention is for HDZ to get another judge in this term, in addition to Vukoja - said Mešalić.

According to him, they will proceed to elect two judges, one from the "Trojka" and the other from HDZ.

- HDZ is blackmailing the "Trojka" that both must go as a package. The "Trojka" has agreed to this game, so HDZ could get a second judge without any provocation, while the "Trojka" will only get one - claims Mešalić.

Speaking about the reactions of HDZ and NiP to DF's candidacy of Slaven Kovačević for the BiH Presidency member from the Croat people, Mešalić said that it is excellent and that DF is now convinced they made the right move.

- Excellent. When they criticize us, we know we are on the right track. You see a general campaign against Slaven Kovačević's candidacy, from HDZ Croatia but also from media controlled by HDZ in BiH. It is a general campaign against Kovačević and our political concept.

Slaven Kovačević and the Democratic Front will be the personification of a normal Bosnia and Herzegovina, while those who advocate for so-called legitimate representation, together with SNSD, want to get two members, in order to control all institutions through the BiH Presidency.

Thus, they would have all state institutions under their control, and they would be able to choose the Council of Ministers as they see fit - said Mešalić.

He points out that the second aspect is the Greater Croatian project that seeks to break up this country and ultimately create a third entity, so that in some geopolitically favorable moment, this country would be dismantled.

- We cannot allow that, and that is why we nominated our candidate, and when we saw that NiP attacked us immediately after HDZ, it became clear to us, and it was clear earlier, that they are just a branch of HDZ in Sarajevo - concluded Mešalić.
