Mešalić: Serbia protects and hides the war criminal Novak Đukić, adopting the Genocide Resolution is the only just decision

(Patria) - I hereby wish to express my full support for the delegation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in its lobbying and activities related to the voting on the Resolution on the Genocide in Srebrenica before the General Assembly of the United Nations, said the President of the Democratic Front Club, Mahir Mešalić.

"Today, the hypocrisy of Serbian state policy is completely evident, which has not moved away from its aggressive goals, as clearly seen in the efforts of such policy to prevent the voting on the Resolution," states Mešalić and continues:

"While Serbia is trying with all its might to prevent the voting on the Resolution and while we hear about how Serbia is supposedly being wronged, that same Serbia is protecting, hiding, and refusing to extradite to Bosnia and Herzegovina the war criminal Novak Đukić, who has been legally convicted and is guilty of the massacre at the Tuzla Gate, when a shell fired from the positions of the Army of Republika Srpska, commanded by Novak Đukić, killed 71 citizens of Tuzla, most of whom were children, and wounded around 240 people".

He says: "The war criminal Novak Đukić enjoys the full support of the state of Serbia, its authorities, and its officials who are trying to convince the civilized world that an injustice is being done to them, including the war criminal Novak Đukić. Serbia, led by Aleksandar Vučić, if it wants to have any conditions to speak of justice and morality, must extradite Novak Đukić to Bosnia and Herzegovina today, in addition to admitting responsibility for the genocide".

"Given that all previous experience speaks to the contrary, and that numerous other war criminals besides Novak Đukić, following the example of the protection provided to him by Serbia and its authorities, continue to find refuge in Serbia, I believe that the adoption of the Genocide Resolution and the exposure of Serbia before the eyes of the world is the minimum of justice that is necessary," concluded Mešalić.
