(Patria) - Head of the DF Caucus in the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament, Mahir Mešalić, after today's publication of photos of Constitutional Court judge Marin Vukoja at a concert by Marko Perković Thompson in Široki Brijeg, where Nazi salutes were seen and "Za dom spremni" was chanted, recalled 2024 when he opposed Vukoja's election to the Constitutional Court of BiH.
"At one point, in May 2024, I called the election of the judge of the Constitutional Court of BiH, Mr. Marin Vukoja, a treacherous act by the so-called "Trojka", but they voted for him based on the HDZ proposal in exchange for Dragan Mioković's seat. Dino Konaković and Igor Stojanović, as well as other leaders of NiP, SDP, and NS, defended Vukoja's election, even though judges of the Constitutional Court of BiH are not elected on an ethnic principle. Now we have a situation where judge Marin Vukoja is sitting in the Constitutional Court, at Thompson's concert in Široki Brijeg, and he was elected by the hands of SDP, NiP, Our Party parliamentarians, starting from Mioković to all those SDP members who are not ashamed at all," stated Mešalić.
The application procedure is underway for two more judges of the Constitutional Court of BiH who are to replace Mirsad Ćeman and Valerija Galić. It is already being heard that one candidate will be close to the "Trojka", specifically the SDP, and the other to the HDZ. The working group is expected to complete the procedure by May, when the list goes to the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament, which votes on the appointment of judges.
