(Patria) - Head of the DF Caucus in the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament, Mahir Mešalić, said that the Minister of the FBiH Ministry of Interior, Ramo Isak, lobbied him in the hallway to adopt the Law on Police Officers, according to which one could retire at 65 years of age.
"The FBiH Ministry of Interior is not anyone's private institution, nor Ramo Isak's, but that of all citizens. If he talks about betrayal, we know he sits in Nermin Nikšić's imposed government. The Trojka parties did not support him, why should we support him so his cronies could take over the FUP. We know about the 'Spengavanje' affair, an investigation is underway, the FUP lost credibility during Ramo Isak's tenure, because even the Unions do not support this law. It should have gone through a regular procedure and been supported by police unions. He has the least right to talk about any betrayal, we know how he came to his position thanks to his son here. When Ramo criticizes you, that's good, then you know you are on the right path," said Mešalić.
Minister Isak today called those who voted against the urgent procedure, which means it will not be on the agenda today, traitors. The OSCE Mission also sent a letter stating that the law should not be considered under urgent procedure but through a regular democratic process. Unions have been warning for weeks that the law amendments were not agreed upon with the unions, which could not support the proposal.
