Merkel: You should turn to the future, but it is important to remember Srebrenica

Chairman of the Presidency of BiH Mladen Ivanić, commenting on the question of how he views the Srebrenica Resolution, said that there are different views on the Resolution in BiH.

But, he did not want, as he said, to deal with it extensively.

- Srebrenica is a difficult, painful event, we should pay tribute to all victims and hope that it will never happen again – said Ivanić during a press conference held at the BiH Presidency together with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

- This country should turn to the future, to changes, joint initiatives and investments, to the needs of being part of Europe. It is our obligation as politicians to calm down the tensions that have now developed and to slowly turn life back towards the future – said Ivanić.

- The German Chancellor said that she believes it is important to remember the victims and that the processing of the past never ends but is processed, but that it happens in parallel with looking to the future – said Merkel, reports NAP.
