Merkel or Erdogan: Turkish President Schedules Inauguration on the Day of Berlin Conference!

Newly elected Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is preparing a spectacular inauguration, unprecedented in memory, Turkish media report, as carried by the Bosnian news agency Patria (NAP). Numerous world leaders will attend the ceremony, and among the invitees will be Bakir Izetbegovic, Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Without any doubt, Izetbegovic will gladly accept the invitation, but a problem could arise because Erdogan's inauguration is scheduled, as reported by the newspaper Today Zaman, for August 28, the same day German Chancellor Angela Merkel has scheduled a conference on the Western Balkans in Berlin.

Namely, Merkel has long since sent invitations to BiH leaders and regional leaders for a conference on the future of BiH and this part of Europe, and among the invitees is the current leader of the Party of Democratic Action and Chairman of the Presidency of BiH, Bakir Izetbegovic.

However, by a twist of fate, the newly elected President of Turkey has scheduled his inaugural ceremony for the same day in Ankara. How Izetbegovic will resolve this problem, whether he will apologize to Merkel or Erdogan, or perhaps try to arrange to attend both events, remains to be seen, NAP reports.

Erdogan has, according to Turkish media, compiled a list of world leaders he will invite, which will include US President Barack Obama and Russian President Vladimir Putin, but it is expected that they will only send their envoys. The presence of European officials and leaders from Turkey's neighboring countries is expected.
