(Patria) - The lockdown introduced due to the coronavirus pandemic in Germany should be extended until the end of February, German Chancellor Angela Merkel told lawmakers from her conservative parliamentary group, participants in the meeting said today.
Before talks with the prime ministers of the 16 federal states, Merkel said that primary schools, kindergartens, hairdressing salons, and retail outlets should have priority when easing measures.
She added that the goal is to avoid another lockdown.
