"Merhamet" Donates Two Generators to Mayor Smajlović

President of HO “Merhamet” MDD Hajrudin Šahić handed over two electricity generators to the Mayor of Zenica Municipality, Husejin Smajlović, which were donated to “Merhamet” by the BiH diaspora from the Swedish city of Göteborg, reports Patria.

In addition to the generators, the Swedish diaspora also collected large quantities of humanitarian aid for areas affected by floods and landslides.

The donation from Sweden was handed over at “Merhamet”'s central warehouse in Kaonik, Busovača Municipality, which Mayor Smajlović visited with his associates.

President of HO “Merhamet” MDD Hajrudin Šahić informed the representatives of Zenica Municipality about the humanitarian organization's activities to date in assisting citizens of our country affected by floods and landslides, emphasizing that “Merhamet” has so far sent more than 45 tons of aid in food, water, clothing, hygiene products, disinfectants, and other humanitarian aid to the affected areas in Zenica Municipality alone.

Mayor Smajlović thanked „Merhamet“ and the BiH diaspora from Göteborg for the donation and emphasized that „Merhamet“ and Zenica Municipality should continue to cooperate in assisting the population and areas that have suffered enormous damage, in the reconstruction and rehabilitation of destroyed homes, in order to help return life to normal in the affected areas through joint activities, it was announced from "Merhamet".
