Memic for NAP: Burzic must be suspended, demand for resignation of Sabina Sarajlija tomorrow

SARAJEVO, (Patria) – Muriz Memic, father of the murdered youth Dzenan Memic, will submit a request to the KS Prosecutor's Office tomorrow for the dismissal of chief cantonal prosecutor Sabina Sarajlija.

In a statement to the Patria News Agency, Memic said that Sarajlija said she "stands behind the indictment".

"I am now calling on her to resign because she is an accomplice of Dalida Burzic. In some of her statements, she said she knew what the decision of the Supreme Court of the FBiH would be. After today's searches and arrests, I expect Dalida Burzic to be suspended until everything is clarified. She can no longer perform the duties of a judge. Even when she was appointed, a disciplinary procedure was pending against her, which was completed quickly," says Memic.

He expects citizens to join him tomorrow when submitting the request, but with respect for all epidemiological measures.

After today's SIPA operation, whose officers are conducting searches at several locations related to the organized crime investigation in the "Dzenan Memic" case, led by the BiH Prosecutor's Office, Memic said he expects all activities to continue and for it to be finally proven what he has claimed from the very beginning, that his son was murdered.

We remind you that Dzenan Memic suffered injuries under still unexplained circumstances on the night of February 8, 2016, while he was in the company of Alisa Mutap. He died on February 15, 2016, at the KCUS. In two court proceedings, Ljubo and Bekrija Seferovic, who were charged with causing a traffic accident, were acquitted of the charges. A decision from the Supreme Court of the FBiH on the appeal of the KS Prosecutor's Office is still pending.
