Memić on the state of the judiciary: "Potkovani" Tegeltija should resign

SARAJEVO, (Patria) – Muriz Memić, father of murdered youth Dženan Memić, is attending a thematic session on the state of the judiciary of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliament today. He told the media that the cases of the murders of Dženan Memić and David Dragičević are already well known to everyone.

“You saw that they immediately distance themselves, don’t talk about individual cases, but Mr. Tegeltija is well aware. My lawyer and I were with him for two hours, we told him everything, he ignored two acquittals, he did nothing. He even rewarded Dalida Burzić to become a judge of the Court of BiH. I consider him an accomplice to murder because he could have done something, he has all the evidence. These are two cases that have all the evidence, but they don’t want to do it,” Memić said. 

He stated that the indictment in his son’s case was fabricated and false.

“I expect this group to leave, they are responsible. Tegeltija is officially “Potkovani” (The Horseshoeed), let him resign, let someone come and start working. It all started because of the Memić case. Mr. Priebe came to do the report. These two cases initiated everything,” Memić said. 

When asked by journalists what he would say today at the session if he had the opportunity, Memić said he would ask Tegeltija why he did nothing.

“The BiH Prosecutor’s Office is working, I would ask Mr. Tegeltija to leave the BiH Prosecutor’s Office alone, let them do their job, let them bring it to an end. The Chief Prosecutor is fighting with this, I still look at her as a saint. They have evidence, they have heard witnesses, just let the HJPC leave them alone to do their job. Now some decision from the Supreme Court is awaited, I don’t know what is being waited for. Their problem is that it wasn’t a traffic accident, their problem is not that the Roma were acquitted. That is the problem, that is a false indictment,” said the father of the murdered youth. 

He stated that the HJPC has no morals and should resign. 

“There is no path to the EU if the state of the judiciary is not resolved, and the state of the judiciary is the bottom of the bottom. They are corrupt and I am just repeating myself. It is time for them to go."

Memić told reporters that he informed the Chief Prosecutor of the BiH Prosecutor’s Office, Gordana Tadić, that Milan Tegeltija had tried to influence the latest expert report of the traffic expert.

“They are trying to influence the State Prosecutor’s Office so that this is not resolved. The murderers are known, and we could have resolved this today. I know, I said that in the end I will take justice into my own hands if the state does not do it. I think I have been working in the most honest way for four years. I want to prove it legally, and some would eagerly await me to do something, so they would remain clean, Tegeltija and the team around him,” Memić concluded.
