Mektić submits proposal: Perica Stanić new SIPA director

Dragan Mektić, Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, has sent to the Council of Ministers of BiH a proposal for the name of the candidate for SIPA director, which Mektić selected from the ranking list compiled by the Independent Board of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, reports the Patria news agency.

This was confirmed to us by the Ministry of Security of BiH, and as we unofficially learn, Mektić's proposal is Perica Stanić, who was the first favorite from the beginning.

- The proposal has been submitted, and I do not know whether this item will be on the agenda of the next session of the Council of Ministers of BiH. I cannot tell you anything about the name - said Admir Malagić, spokesperson for the Ministry of Security of BiH.

We remind you that first on the ranking list with 86.11 points is Tomislav Mirosavić, otherwise an SNSD cadre, Davor Vidović 84.44 points, Perica Stanić 82.22 points, Slobodan Nikć 81.11 points, and Relja Kovač 62.77 points.

Žiko Krunić, Chairman of the Independent Board of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, said that the ranking list of candidates was forwarded to Mektić, and at the insistence of journalists to say whether the first on the list must also be selected, Krunić said:

- You are all educated people and you know what a ranking list of success means, and for the rest you should ask the minister - said Krunić.

Mektić's favorite from the beginning, as well as that of his SDS party, was the third-placed Perica Stanić.

Incidentally, Minister Mektić could choose the candidate he wanted from the list, but it is important that this candidate receives the support of Bosniak, Croatian, and Serbian ministers in the Council of Ministers of BiH.
