Mektić visited Stanić: SIPA is expected to deliver work and results

The State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) was visited today by the Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dragan Mektić. He attended a meeting where the newly appointed Director of SIPA, Perica Stanić, introduced himself to the heads of SIPA organizational units, reports the BiH news agency Patria.

The meeting discussed the current security situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and all aspects of SIPA's work, with a special emphasis on the fight against terrorism as the greatest security challenge of today, all forms of organized crime and corruption.

Minister Mektić welcomed those present, congratulated the Director of SIPA on his appointment, and wished him much success in his future work. He emphasized that the Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina is available to SIPA for any form of support, so that SIPA can respond to the most complex security challenges of today. The Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina said that much is expected from SIPA in the coming period and that it is key in the fight against the most serious forms of crime. Mektić also highlighted the importance of cooperation with other security bodies and institutions, in order to jointly respond to all security challenges.

The Director of SIPA thanked them for the visit and their readiness to support SIPA. He said that he will do his job honorably and professionally, that he expects work and results from all SIPA employees, and that his duty is to ensure adequate working conditions. Stanić emphasized that he will not hesitate to conduct investigations against anyone, and that cooperation with other bodies and institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina, especially the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, is not in question.
