Mektić: I was baptized when I saw the director of Elektrodistribucija Bijeljina talking about migrants

BANJA LUKA, (Patria) – Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina Dragan Mektić said today that he started to be baptized when he saw the director of Elektrodistribucija Bijeljina /Nedjeljko/ Ćorić talking about the problem of migrants in BiH.

“Ćorić, stick to the utility pole”, Mektić said at a press conference in Banja Luka, reports Patria agency.

The Minister of Security of BiH denied the president of the BiH entity of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, who claims that migrants in BiH are a political issue of Bosniak parties, who, according to Dodik, want to change the demographic structure in Republika Srpska.

Mektić said that there is not even a theoretical possibility that migrants coming to BiH will stay in BiH in such a way after three years and obtain citizenship.

The Minister of Security of BiH said that in the first five months, the police rejected 3,300 illegal entries of migrants into BiH. The profile of migrants entering BiH is changing. Migrants, he said, previously came from war-torn countries, and now they are mostly economic migrants.

“Now, first and foremost, migrants from Pakistan are coming to us, who are classic economic migrants, followed by migrants from Syria, while migrants from Iran are in third place”, said Mektić. Regarding migrants from Iran, he said that the problem for BiH arose when Serbia abolished visas for Iranian citizens, who freely enter Serbia, and from there illegally cross the BiH border.
