Mehmedović: Zubac has no moral credibility to lead SIPA!

The Independent Board should have promptly suspended the director of the State Investigation and Protection Agency, who is under a final indictment, said for the Bosnian news agency Patria (NAP) Šemsudin Mehmedović, a member of the BiH Parliament.

- Goran Zubac no longer has the moral credibility to perform the duties of SIPA director. I would not comment on the operation that SIPA has been conducting since this morning at the order of the BiH Prosecutor's Office, nor the fact that it is being led by Zubac. But it is clear that in public he wants to show that Zubac is doing his job, even though he is under indictment – says Mehmedović.

SIPA said today that Zubac, whom the BiH Prosecutor's Office charges with negligent work in service, is leading the operation "Pandora" in which Kemal Čaušević, former director of the Indirect Taxation Authority, and several other high-ranking customs officials were arrested.

- The Independent Board should have reacted yesterday. Zubac's security clearances for access to classified information must be revoked – adds Mehmedović.

Commenting on the statement of Milorad Dodik, the President of RS, that the indictment against Zubac is political, Mehmedović says that there should be no politicization.

- If we talk like that, then every indictment and process will be political. I have pointed this out before, and it seems that this is the policy of a powerful man who already declares himself as such – adds Mehmedović for NAP.
