Mehmedović: Tomorrow we will seek the dismissal of the Independent Board

The Independent Board of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, to the general surprise of many, did not suspend the director of SIPA, Goran Zubac, today, against whom the BiH Prosecutor's Office has filed an indictment for dereliction of duty. This confirmed the reporting of the Patria news agency that this body is politically instructed. Šemsudin Mehmedović, an SDA MP in the House of Representatives of the PS BiH, confirmed to NAP that he will submit an initiative for the dismissal of the Independent Board at tomorrow's session of this house.

- It is now more than obvious that the Independent Board is engaged in politics and not doing its job independently, as its name suggests. Therefore, at tomorrow's session of the House of Representatives of the PSBiH, there will certainly be talk about this. The submission of an initiative for the dismissal of such an Independent Board is expected, because it is not independent. I don't know if it will be me or the SDA caucus, but the initiative will be submitted – says Mehmedović.

Otherwise, the agenda for tomorrow's session of the HoR PSBiH also includes the Report on the Work of the Independent Board in 2013, as well as the work plan for 2014.

- It is obvious that the Independent Board is politically instructed to postpone the decision on the suspension of Goran Zubac due to the indictment. They will look for reasons for such a thing in the insufficient time to familiarize themselves with the case, but they are not the Court to judge and to know every detail. However, the mere fact that an indictment has been filed implies suspension from the position of director – Mehmedović added for NAP.

The Independent Board of the BiH Parliament consists of Enes Obralija, Ilma Jusufbašić-Mehić, Adisa Begić, Nikola Džambas, Mate Miletić, Mato Jozić, Ljubomir Kuravica, Miroslav Škorić, and Žiko Krunić.
