Mehmedović: SNSD and SBB left the session because their request for Džaferović's dismissal was not approved

Deputies of SNSD and SBB left the session of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH because their request for the dismissal of the Chairman Šefik Džaferović was not approved, SDA deputy Šemsudin Mehmedović confirmed to Patria.

- Dissatisfied with the voting outcome, which they announced when proposing agenda items, they left the hall. However, we have a quorum and the House continued its work, says Mehmedović.

On behalf of the SBB Caucus, Mirsad Đonlagić said that they are asking Džaferović to resign from the position of Chairman and for that item to be included in the agenda.

Explaining this proposal, Đonlagić reminded that this House dismissed Fahrudin Radončić from the position of Minister of Security of BiH based on insinuations, not on serious accusations like those associated with Šefik Džaferović.

- This is about protecting the dignity of the office of the Speaker of the House of Representatives. Therefore, we believe that he should resign until these matters are clarified, said Đonlagić.

The initiative to dismiss Džaferović, due to alleged involvement in war crimes in Vozuća, was first launched by SNSD.

- We propose this decision due to the existence of serious accusations that Mirsad Kebo submitted to the BiH Prosecutor's Office through documentation, said Staša Košarac on behalf of the SNSD Caucus.

Although the initiative was not passed as an agenda item at the Collegium held this morning, nor at the Expanded Collegium of this House, which was supported only by SBB deputies, SNSD tried to propose it as an agenda item at the session itself.

However, as there were not enough votes, the initiative failed.
