Mehmedović: Security system in BiH controlled by Greater Serbian intelligence structures

State representative and member of the Defense and Security Commission of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH issued a press release regarding yesterday's incident in Potočari. The news agency Patria publishes Mehmedović's statement in full, 

-Yesterday's attack on Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić at the commemoration of 20 years of genocide committed by the RS Army, RS Police and with the knowledge and approval of Serbia, is yet another proof that the security system and situation in BiH are controlled by Greater Serbian and Chetnik police-intelligence structures.

Yesterday, before the eyes of the public and the entire world, the power of these structures was demonstrated, as well as their readiness to go to any lengths.

The gathering of dignity and pain of the victims of genocide, which the world's and Europe's greatest statesmen came to pay their respects to, was in one moment turned into its opposite, thanks to the police structures of the RS, SIPA and BiH, which are managed by cadres who have never stopped implementing Greater Serbian policy, based on genocide.

This is also currently the greatest security threat to freedom and democratic achievements in Europe, all the more so because these structures control the security system of a European state. If we add to this the 30,000 armed Chetniks who cherish and implement the fascist ideology of the "Chetnik Movement" from World War II, which was on the side of Nazi Germany and fascist Italy, the seriousness of the threats posed by these structures to security in Europe is even greater.

It is now clear that these structures currently hold the entire security mechanism in BiH in their hands and that, at a single call from Moscow, they could ignite a war conflagration more easily and dangerously than the Russian separatists in Ukraine.

It is high time that serious attention be paid to this issue. It is of enormous importance that, for the sake of preserving peace, freedom and the achievements of democracy throughout Europe, the political elimination and disabling of Greater Serbian security structures in BiH, and their bringing to justice, involve representatives of the international community and leading democracies in Europe and the world such as the USA, Great Britain, Germany and France, as well as domestic patriotically oriented politicians, and the prosecuting authorities and the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Otherwise, and unfortunately, anything is possible, even a new “Ukrainian scenario” in this part of Europe, after what happened yesterday at the Memorial Center in Potočari at the commemoration of 20 years of genocide against Bosniaks of Eastern Bosnia.

The failures made yesterday by the security services were not accidental, but clearly planned to achieve a goal - to turn the perpetrator into a victim, to shift the focus of the domestic and especially world public, from the commemoration of 20 years of genocide, to a planned staged attack on Vučić.

The statement of the Minister of Interior of the RS confirms the problematic nature of the security system in BiH. Sending armed and unknown people into a crowd that can easily be turned in the desired direction, moving a security-risk person through a cordon of the crowd, not informing those responsible for the security of the personnel being protected, is nothing less than undermining the security system of BiH and risking the safety of everyone at yesterday's emotionally charged gathering.

Nevertheless, action is expected from the Minister of Security and the Council of Ministers. Those responsible must be dismissed and, based on the failures, the observed shortcomings in securing this gathering must be eliminated. The consequences could have been catastrophic for BiH, because a strong campaign and diplomatic offensive for and against support for the Resolution on the Srebrenica genocide had been waged beforehand, so that all representatives of countries that were on the side of the TRUTH about the Srebrenica genocide were exposed to security risk.

Only the reason and the call of the Reis-ul-ulema preserved the dignity of the gathering and prevented an escalation of the problem.

The behavior of Vučić in the previous days and of all those responsible for security failures, as well as the abuse of this magnificent gathering for political purposes by power centers from Serbia, and bringing BiH to the brink of conflict and into the context of great power relations, is condemnable, Mehmedović's statement reads.
