Mehmedović: Parading of Serbian soldiers in BiH just days before Srebrenica genocide commemoration is intimidation

(Patria) - There is no doubt that Bosnia and Herzegovina has been the target of a special hybrid war by known aggressors from this side of the Drina for a long time. The parade of members of the Serbian Army through Prijedor, just a few days before the commemoration of the World Day of Remembrance for the Srebrenica Genocide, is a shameful and threatening act and part of the hybrid war against our country, stated Šemsudin Mehmedović, a Member of Parliament and leader of the Naprijed party.

"The goal of this and similar moves by the authorities of Republika Srpska and Serbia is to provoke instability, spread fear and propaganda with the aim of achieving the war goal of destroying BiH and its division. The problem is that, unlike in 1992, there is now no organized, systematic, popular, and state-level resistance and defense against the special war against BiH and its institutions.

The logical question arises: who gave consent and permission for members of a foreign army to parade on the territory of BiH, and for what reason? How was that decision made transparently and silently, without public knowledge? And if it was done without the consent of the Presidency of BiH, it is a direct aggression and a violation of BiH's territorial integrity.

We demand that all responsible parties be held accountable immediately, that it be determined who gave consent and on what basis, and what the background of all this is. The parading of foreign soldiers in these circumstances is nothing but intimidation of the population of BiH.

Whether it is the fear of the authorities of Republika Srpska or something else, it needs to be determined," Mehmedović stated.
