Mehmedović: Those destabilizing the country are pursuing pro-Russian policies

(Patria) - The right-wing movement in the EU is trying to challenge BiH, claims SDA MP Šemsudin Mehmedović. This parliamentarian adds that the backbone of these activities are the creators of the non-paper. Referring to the announcement by BiH Presidency member Milorad Dodik that he will be arrested when he crosses into the Republika Srpska, he says that the time when political leaders ordered arrests is over, and commented on his visit to Doboj.

"Doboj is the city of my youth, it is a city that is 6-7 km away from my family home, I visit often, and I see nothing wrong with it. But an atmosphere has been created to foster divisions among entities and peoples," said Mehmedović as a guest on N1's Novi dan.

Mehmedović said that if freedom of movement is questionable, then everything else is questionable. The N1 interlocutor also commented on his conversation with Russian Ambassador Igor Kalabuhov after he held a press conference in front of the embassy of that country.

"After that conversation at the Russian Embassy, he realized he had crossed a red line. We want BiH and Russia to cooperate institutionally, not to cooperate only with one nation," said Mehmedović.

Mehmedović emphasized on several occasions that those who are working to destabilize the country are pursuing pro-Russian policies. In addition, he specifically referred to the activities of, as he says, the creators of the non-paper, who, with BiH's neighbors, are acting as spokespersons for the division of BiH.

"The creators of the non-paper, with the representatives of BiH's neighbors, they are the spokespersons for the division of BiH, for Russian policy, for the extreme right. Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, more precisely the Croatian representative, and Aleksandar Vučić, who is wisely silent but has his representative, Milorad Dodik. Through the right-wing political movement, an attempt is being made to challenge the statehood of BiH and to cause it great harm," said the N1 interlocutor.

He did not want to talk about his role in the upcoming elections, and briefly commented on his position in the SDA.

"In a way, I play the role of an opposition member; the SDA behaves that way because it is democratic. Imagine if someone else behaved like that in another party; I believe they would be expelled," said Mehmedović.

Referring to the work of the BiH Parliament, Mehmedović believes that parliamentarians are not divided into government and opposition, but into those who are for and against BiH, adding that the biggest problem is the absence of his colleagues from RS at the sessions of both houses of the BiH Parliament."
