Mehmedović: Someone will be criminally liable for protecting the indicted Zubac

Šemsudin Mehmedović, a Member of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly (PS BiH), stated that the Independent Board of PS BiH will be criminally liable because it did not dismiss Goran Zubac from the head of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA), even though an indictment has been filed against him and as such, according to BiH legal regulations, he should not be heading this important state institution.

Not only, Mehmedović said, has the Independent Board violated BiH law, but it has also jeopardized our country's security system.

- The Independent Board is trying to make political decisions, not to implement the law, which is its primary function. Zubac no longer has access to classified information, which means he no longer has the operational capacity to perform the duties of SIPA director. However, it is obvious that the Independent Board has placed itself in his political protection, and someone will have to bear responsibility for this, meaning someone will certainly file a criminal complaint against the Independent Board – Mehmedović told Patria.

- The security situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina is not only compromised today, it is highly conditional on such a state of affairs. If an agency that commands armed force cannot do its job, then you can imagine how the citizens of BiH will feel – says Mehmedović, writes Patria.
