Mehmedović saw off participants of the March of Peace from Tešanj

Member of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliament Šemsudin Mehmedović attended the send-off of young people from the local community of Trepče (Tešanj municipality), who set off on their journey to Srebrenica, reports the Patria News Agency.

On this occasion, Mehmedović presented the participants of the March of Peace with the flag of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and wished them a safe journey and a successful arrival at the memorial center in Potočari, as well as a safe return to their homes and families.

The March of Peace is a walking tour, held as part of the commemoration of the anniversary of the genocide against Bosniaks in and around Srebrenica, with the aim of honoring the victims of the genocide and reminding of the horrific crimes committed by the forces of the army and police of Republika Srpska, supported by forces from Serbia, against Bosniaks of the "UN Safe Area" - Srebrenica, in July 1995.

The march is called a protest march because it seeks to engage all relevant actors, at the local and international level, for the faster arrest and prosecution of persons responsible for the committed crimes, in order to achieve justice as a prerequisite for building lasting peace and tolerance among the peoples of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
