Mehmedagić arrived at the session of the Commission for Oversight of OSA's Work, Serbs Rejected the Agenda

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The session of the Joint Commission for Oversight of OSA's Work was not held because the session's agenda was not adopted, writes the Patria News Agency.

Osman Mehmedagić, Director of OSA, came to the session upon invitation, but the session was not held due to representatives from the RS.

We remind you that at the last session, it was revealed in a letter from the BiH Prosecutor's Office that Osman Mehmedagić, Director of OSA, is a third-year student at one of the faculties of the University of Travnik.

The Chairperson of the Commission, Nermin Nikšić, stated at the time that he would interfere in his work, regardless of whether "someone likes it or not".

Nenad Stevandić, a member of the Commission, stated briefly after the session was adjourned that he respects the decision of the National Assembly of the RS. Precisely because of this, the agenda was not adopted, as there was no necessary majority, nor a single vote from the representatives of the Serb people, and in joint commissions, decisions require a necessary majority and at least one vote from each people. 

"The decision of the NSRS was respected," Stevandić said.

As is known, members of the Joint Commission for Oversight of OSA's Work were informed by a letter from the BiH Prosecutor's Office about the disputed diploma of the Director of OSA. They also requested supporting materials from the BiH Prosecutor's Office. Otherwise, a higher education diploma is one of the conditions for holding the position of Director of OSA, just as in other state institutions where higher education is a requirement for appointment to a leadership position.
