
The Institute for Research of Crimes Against Humanity and International Law of the University of Sarajevo, in cooperation with the Srebrenica Memorial Center - Potočari and the University of Tuzla, is organizing an international conference titled "Srebrenica 1995-2015: Evaluating the Legacy and Long-Term Consequences of Genocide", reports the BH News Agency Patria.
The Conference is planned to be held in Sarajevo, Tuzla, and Srebrenica (Potočari) from July 9 to 11 this year.
Dr. Rasim Muratović, Director of the Institute for Research of Crimes Against Humanity and International Law of the University of Sarajevo, and Dr. Nirha Efendić and M.Sc. Hasan Nuhanović, members of the Conference Organizing Committee, informed the Reis-ul-ulema Husein ef. Kavazović today about the preparations for this Conference and its content.
The Reis-ul-ulema supported the organization of this Conference and pointed out the importance of remembering the victims of the genocide in Srebrenica, and at the same time informed the guests that the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina is also organizing an international scientific conference on May 12 and 13, which should answer the question: how to commemorate the Day of Genocide in Srebrenica from a religious perspective in the future.
During today's visit, the Director of the Institute, Dr. Rasim Muratović, presented the Reis-ul-ulema with an invitation to participate in the Conference from July 9 to 11 and gifted him the latest publications of the Institute for Research of Crimes Against Humanity and International Law of the University of Sarajevo.
