(Patria) - At least 10 people were killed in a shooting at a school in the Austrian city of Graz this morning, and among them are two young people originally from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The imam of the "Bošnjak" congregation in Graz, hafiz Sabahudin Hašić, confirmed to Faktor that Kaid J. and Hana A. were killed.
According to currently unconfirmed information, another person originally from Bosnia and Herzegovina is seriously injured.
Let us recall, this morning's shooting occurred at the school on Dreierschutzengasse at approximately 10 a.m. local time, prompting an immediate evacuation.
Students were transported to the nearby Helmut-List-Halle hall, where they received assistance from emergency psychologists and Red Cross staff.
Authorities believe the attacker, a 22-year-old former student of the school, acted alone.
He reportedly entered the building armed with a legally owned pistol and shotgun, and opened fire in two classrooms, one of which was his former classroom.
He then committed suicide in the school toilet, according to Austrian media, including Krone and Salzburger Nachrichten.
