Nurse killed 38 patients because they annoyed her

A nurse from Italy, Daniela Poggiuali, has been arrested on suspicion of killing 38 of her patients because they, or their families, were annoying and irritating, Italian media report, as reported by the BH News Agency Patria.

Poggiuali worked in the town of Lugo in northern Italy. She was arrested after the death of a 78-year-old patient who came for a routine check-up raised suspicions. The nurse killed patients with potassium chloride, and among the 38 deaths being investigated by the police, 10 are "very suspicious".

Police found a "selfie" on her phone with a dead body in the background, and her colleagues said they suspected that she often gave patients laxatives at the end of her shifts. They described their colleague as a "cold person, but diligent".
