Mašović new Chief of the Joint Staff of BiH Armed Forces

SARAJevo, (Patria) - The Presidency of BiH at yesterday's session made a Decision on relieving generals in the Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Five of them, as well as 20 brigadiers, submitted requests for retirement. 

The Presidency of BiH made a Decision on appointing active military personnel to general positions in the Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Thus, Major General Senad Mašović was appointed the new Chief of the Joint Staff of the Armed Forces of BiH. His deputies are Ivan Jerkić and Gojko Knežević. This appointment has been awaited for months, and previously this position was held by Anto Jeleč, who is retiring. Jeleč's mandate, as well as that of his deputies Mašović and Mirko Tepšić, expired in February last year.
