GRADAČAC, (Patria) - The father of student Selmir Mašetović, who was arrested in Turkey, Husein Mašetović, spoke by phone today with his son, who is in custody in Uşak. He was arrested on May 22, and is represented by attorney Suhejla Husić-Demir, who will visit him very soon and familiarize herself with the charges Turkey is bringing against him.
Still emotional, Husein says he is happy to have finally spoken with his son.
- He sounded positive. He says he is even fasting, he has all the conditions. He said he is fine - Husein recounts.
The father will soon go to visit him, but is still waiting to be informed of the days when visits will be allowed.
His son Selmir denies any connection to the acts he is being charged with. Selmir told his father that he had asked to call his parents but was not allowed to do so earlier.
It was previously stated that a request would be made for Mašetović to be released pending trial.
Husein Mašetović thanked everyone who provided him with support, as well as material support in the fight for his son's release from the Turkish prison.
