Halači Street Massacre: 25 years since the death of eight innocent Sarajevans

The Halači Street Massacre, in Baščaršija in Sarajevo, occurred on August 23, 1992, during the siege of Sarajevo by the Serb aggressor during the aggression against Bosnia and Herzegovina from 1992 to 1995, writes the Patria News Agency.

On that day, a shell fired from Serb positions killed eight and seriously wounded three civilians in the historical and cultural center of Sarajevo.  

At that time, Dženan Aljević, Mahir Ferhatović, Tarik Harta, Esma Muratović, Meliha Muratović-Spahić, Almasa Spahić, Mahira Spahić, and Ismet Suljić were killed.

The Halači Street Massacre is just one of many massacres committed by the aggressor army, not only in Sarajevo but also throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina.
