MASSACRE AT MARKALE Day of remembrance for all citizens of Sarajevo killed and wounded during the siege 1992-1995.

(Patria) - On the occasion of the commemoration of February 5 – Day of remembrance for all citizens of Sarajevo killed and wounded during the siege 1992-1995 and the 31st anniversary of the massacre at Markale market, we inform you that TOMORROW /WEDNESDAY/, February 5, 2025,
- starting at 12:00 PM, a laying of flowers will be held at the memorial at Markale market,

- and at 12:30 PM, a Joint Commemorative Session of the Parliament of Sarajevo Canton, the City Council of Sarajevo, and municipal councils from the Sarajevo Canton area will be held at the National Theatre, organized by Sarajevo Canton.

During the laying of flowers in Mula Mustafe Bašeskije street, near Markale market, traffic will be temporarily suspended from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM (05.02.2025).

The organizer of the Joint Commemorative Session invites families and friends of the Sarajevo victims to attend this session, so that in this way we can all together pay tribute to all our fallen fellow citizens.

Exactly 31 years ago, on this sad day alone, 68 Sarajevans were killed, and 142 were seriously or lightly wounded.
