Maruf: We will continue protests as long as the aggression on Gaza lasts

Peaceful protests in support of the Palestinian people in Gaza were held today in Tuzla, Zenica, and Mostar, organized by the Association of the Palestinian Community in BiH. While in Sarajevo, Quds Day was held where support was also expressed for Palestinians. One of the speakers was Madžid Maruf, president of the Association of the Palestinian Community in BiH, writes the BiH news agency Patria (NAP).

- The people can no longer tolerate the aggression against the Palestinian people, and it is intensifying. Protests of support are also being organized in European cities. A large number of people are at these protests and oppose the killings in Gaza. As long as the aggression lasts, we will organize protests. We will announce them in advance, according to the law, just as we announced these that were held today – Maruf told NAP.

In Zenica, the march started at the "Bosanka" department store and ended at the National Theatre, where representatives of the organizing association addressed the attendees: hafiz prof. dr. Safvet Halilović, Alija Redžić, Medhat Kasap, representative of the Solidarity Board, and dr. Abdelhakim Gouda, representative of the Association of the Palestinian Community.

In Tuzla, the protest march started from Freedom Square and ended at Genocide Square, while in Mostar, more than 100 citizens gathered.

- We are satisfied with the turnout and thank everyone who shares our pain, and I call on citizens to continue doing so and to help if they are able – said Maruf.
