Martin Raguž: It is time for the peoples in BiH to start serving themselves, not others

Bosnia and Herzegovina is possible, desirable and will continue to exist, said Martin Raguž, candidate for the Croatian member of the BiH Presidency in the upcoming elections, which will be held in Bosnia and Herzegovina in October this year, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria (NAP).

And, for Bosnia and Herzegovina to embark on the path of progress and prosperity, Raguž added, politics in BiH must first build respect for BiH institutions. As long as the peoples in BiH think they can defeat each other within the country, there will be no progress in the state, Raguž believes.

- It is time for Bosnia and Herzegovina to no longer be an object of either regional or broader reshuffling and interests. It is time to develop an internal dimension of partnership, to resolve some issues in our own interest as a whole, and not to occasionally serve others more than ourselves. To achieve this, we need a group of politicians who have self-respect and who can change the negative image of Bosnia and Herzegovina – Raguž told Patria.

- Even Switzerland stopped that spiral of wars and violence and embarked on the path of progress only when the political force that advocated internal agreement and consensus, rather than the disintegration of the country, prevailed in that state. I believe it is time for that to happen in BiH as well – Raguž told NAP. He does not hide, he added, that once elected as a member of the BiH Presidency, he will fight precisely for peace, harmony, cooperation and prosperity for all peoples in BiH.
