Martin Raguž in Sarajevo: I am honoured to have the support of all peoples

I have a foothold in my own people, but also in other peoples, and I am extremely proud of that - said the candidate for the Croatian member of the BiH Presidency, Martin Raguž, who emphasised that compromise is an advantage, not a disadvantage, as some in our country wish to interpret it.

The packed hall of the Unitic business centre, an audience composed of numerous citizens of Sarajevo, distinguished intellectuals, representatives of embassies, and the support that Martin Raguž enjoys in this city, made this gathering magnificent.

Numerous attendees had the opportunity to learn about the programme and candidates of HDZ 1990, who offer solutions for this country in the form of a European, democratic, and employed Bosnia and Herzegovina.

- Mr. President, welcome to Sarajevo, the heart of Bosnia and Herzegovina - these were the words of welcome addressed to President Raguž by the host, who in his welcoming speech thanked the residents of the capital for their response and the support that President Raguž articulates in the capital.

After the presentation of HDZ 1990 candidates for all levels of government, a video message was played in which the President of the EPP, the strongest group of parties in the European Parliament, Joseph Daul, expressed support for the candidate for the BiH Presidency member Martin Raguž and HDZ 1990 in the upcoming elections. „It is a pleasure and an honour to extend my support to you, both personally and on behalf of the EPP“, said Joseph Daul via video message. President Raguž expressed his gratitude with great respect for the support he received from the EPP.

„Our country has paid a huge price throughout history for the lack of internal agreement. I believe it is time to draw a line under conflicts, confrontations, and divisions. Let us draw a line and move towards a better future for all of us“, said President Raguž, emphasising that he will respect every vote he receives and that he will responsibly carry out the position of member of the BiH Presidency if he gains trust.

President Raguž specifically addressed the competencies of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina. „The Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina has much greater competencies than have been valorised“, said President Raguž, emphasising that it is time to draw a line so that the Presidency becomes an „outstretched hand“ of party power brokers.

„This is our country. Let us fix it!“, concluded President Raguž, met with an eruption of enthusiasm and thunderous applause.
