Marinković Lepić asks Tadić: Have war crimes investigations been left to the media and Milorad Dodik?

SARAJevo, (Patria) - After all the accusations against the Prime Minister of Republika Srpska, Radovan Višković, prosecutor Gordana Tadić is still silent. Since the appearance of a recording in which a protected witness speaks about his role in war crimes, equally scandalous things have happened that required an even more prompt reaction, said BiH State Parliament representative Mirjana Marinković Lepić.

"Milorad Kojić, director of the Republika Srpska Centre for Research of War, War Crimes and Searching for Missing Persons, announced the publication of the names of all witnesses who, in his view, testified falsely against persons of Serb nationality suspected or convicted of war crimes. His threat, at least in one case, was soon realized. Glas Srpske published the initials of the protected witness precisely in the Višković case, as well as the place where he lives. They characterized him as a person with 'psychological problems', and Kojić did the same," added Marinković Lepić.

She adds that "Glas Srpske also reported that the testimony of that protected witness was rejected as false".

"The silence and inaction of the Prosecutor's Office are most to blame for these situations. Prosecutor Tadić must answer to the public whether she will do her job or has left it to organizations and media in the service of Milorad Dodik's regime. They decide whose testimony is valid and whose is not, they declare protected witnesses as sick and inform us whether a testimony has been rejected or accepted as valid. Just so we know if we can have any expectations from the Prosecutor's Office, which she heads, anymore," Marinković Lepić said.
