Marines train BiH Armed Forces for riot control!

US Marines trained members of the Armed Forces in Bosnia and Herzegovina last week in Sarajevo for riot control and the use of non-lethal weapons, reports the BiH news agency Patria (NAP). The information about the training was confirmed to the Patria agency by the BiH Minister of Defence Zekerijah Osmić.

When riots break out and the police are overpowered, the second level of defence must be involved, according to the text published on the occasion of the arrival of American military experts. At the beginning of the year, specifically on February 7, riots broke out in BiH, during which the building of the BiH Presidency, cantonal governments in Sarajevo and Tuzla, and the Archives of BiH were set on fire.

US officers, as we have learned, conducted training for BiH soldiers at the Armed Forces barracks in Manjača on the use of special weapons such as electric shockers, rifles with non-lethal ammunition, special batons, and grenade launchers for dispersing groups of violent demonstrators. 

Sergeant Abdullah Huseinefendić expressed satisfaction with the training they underwent with the US Marines, and especially with the fact that they learned to use special weapons, particularly electric shockers like the "Taser 26", reports NAP.
