Marin Gadžić dismissed from position of Aluminij director

MOSTAR, (Patria) - The former director of Aluminij d.d. Mostar, Mario Gadžić, has been relieved of his duties, and will be replaced by Board member Dražen Pandža, for a maximum period of six months, confirmed today in Mostar the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of this company, Dalibor Miloš.

Miloš stated that the Supervisory Board has been dissatisfied with Gadžić's work and the overall situation for some time, which resulted in a warning strike, reports BHRT.

Seven days ago, he continues, they received an email from Pandža, and then from the President of the Independent Union, Romeo Biokšić, from which they learned that they had been in communication with Gadžić and that he had mentioned illegal actions.

Miloš confirmed that the Supervisory Board concluded that all evidence of illegal actions should be forwarded to the Ministry of Interior, and that they did so before Gadžić spoke about it.

- The Supervisory Board ordered the Secretary of the Company to forward all information, including email correspondence received from Executive Director Dražen Pandža, the President of the Independent Union of Employees Romeo Biokšić, the report to the Supervisory Board with knowledge of extortion of money for employment in Aluminij, received from Director Mario Gadžić, as well as six USB sticks submitted at the Supervisory Board meeting on June 22, 2018, to the competent Ministry of Interior in order to determine the grounds for initiating possible criminal proceedings - states the Conclusion of the Supervisory Board.

It is also added that all documentation related to the case and events concerning the dismissal of Samir Anić should be submitted to the competent Ministry of Interior.

Gadžić earlier informed the public about the existence of a recording in which money is demanded from a person for a job at Aluminij.

On Friday, he said that the extortion was carried out by the President of the Independent Union of Employees (NSZ) of Aluminij, Romeo Biokšić, which, according to him, was secretly recorded on an audio recording.

The newly appointed acting director of Aluminij, Dražen Pandža, commenting on the company's debts of 350 million BAM, said that he will engage all capacities to improve the situation in the company and that together with the workers they will try to maintain the company's operations.

- First, we will hold talks with our key suppliers and customers. We will explain that the situation is not dramatic and that we continue production. Also, we guarantee customers that their goods will be delivered, and we will continue to pay our suppliers at the intensity we currently can - Padža stated.
