(Patria) - The guest of today's edition of the show "Špica" on TVSA was the candidate for acting mayor of Sarajevo, Anja Margetić.
- My goal in this public appearance, if we are to respect the statute, was that I was the first logical and legal choice. The statute clearly stipulates that the presiding officer and the mayor cannot come from the same ethnic group.
This was the case at the very beginning, when the OHR pointed out that the statute must be respected, then they started "dealing" with my name. At the collegium session on November 14, DF member Vedad Deljković proposed Samir Avdić as a candidate.
The secretary immediately reacted that this was not the correct procedure, that in case of the mayor's dismissal, the City Council elects a new mayor from among his deputies - says Margetić.
She announced that she is leaving Bosnia and Herzegovina.
- It is precisely thanks to this engagement in politics that I have decided to leave BiH, to go live where there is no nationalism, because truly here the same story has been spinning for 30 years.
It was a difficult decision, but I simply think that after the 2020 elections, when the "Trojka" coalition announced so many changes, when we all saw Sarajevo as a much more beautiful city than it was the day after the elections.
I think they betrayed the people and the idea of a fairer society. I fear that the future of BiH and Sarajevo is not bright - added the disappointed Margetić.
