Marciano: In Brazil, I will also cheer for Bosnia and Herzegovina, because it is my second homeland

Marciano Jose Do Nascimento, former footballer for Čelik, Sarajevo and Široki Brijeg, as well as some European clubs, has been living again in his native Brazil for almost two years. From the place where he currently resides, São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro are about a four-hour flight away. In an interview with the Patria news agency, Marciano says he has already received countless calls from fans and former teammates from Bosnia and Herzegovina, asking for help and advice regarding travel to Brazil, as most of them plan to follow the national football team at the World Cup in the land of Samba.

- I try to help everyone. I told some that I will be their host. I experienced many beautiful things in Bosnia and I will never forget that country and its people. I am glad that Bosnia and Herzegovina qualified for the World Cup and that it is being played right here in Brazil - said Marciano.

This exceptionally talented footballer lives in Brazil with his wife Monica, with whom he has two daughters, Melyssa and Maysa Sophie. He plays for the club Santa Quitéria.

- The situation in Brazil is currently good. Almost everything is ready for the World Cup. Many ask me if it is expensive here or similar, and I say it depends on where. The north of the country is the cheapest, while in Rio de Janeiro or São Paulo it is the most expensive - added Marciano.

He also specifically addressed stories about robbers on the streets of Brazil and warned all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina to pay special attention to this.

- You should stick to group walks, because it is possible that someone might rob you if you walk alone. I will really try to spend as much time as possible with fans, players, coaches from Bosnia and Herzegovina, and anyone who needs help or support during the World Cup - added Marciano.

With the wish that Brazil and Bosnia and Herzegovina play in the World Cup final, Marciano revealed that he will cheer for both countries simultaneously.

- I think Bosnia and Herzegovina has a quality team with many strong names. I will cheer for Bosnia and Herzegovina with all my heart, just as I will cheer for Brazil, because Bosnia and Herzegovina is like my second homeland - says Marciano.
