Manuel Sarrazin to visit BiH on Tuesday

(Patria) - Germany's Special Envoy for the Western Balkans, Manuel Sarrazin, will arrive in Bosnia and Herzegovina on Tuesday, BHRT has confirmed.

Meetings with members of the Presidency of BiH, Chairperson of the Council of Ministers of BiH Borjana Krišto, and Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH Elmedin Konaković are planned on this occasion.

Sarrazin visited Bosnia and Herzegovina in September last year, when, in addition to Sarajevo, he also visited Banja Luka.

He then explained the reasons why Germany ended funding for four major projects in Republika Srpska.

- Regarding the political crisis caused by officials in RS, the German Government, unfortunately, had no political room.

Pursuing secessionist policies, attacks on state institutions of BiH, media and civil society, as well as on High Representative Christian Schmidt have consequences.

Therefore, we made the decision to end four important infrastructure projects with a total value of 105 million euros - Sarrazin said at the time.
