Mandić doesn't know where the Government got 11 new names for the Steering Committee, which is set to dismiss the Director of UKCS

After the Patria News Agency reported that Merita Lika-Pranjić, Željko Ler, Enis Hasanović, Jasmin Kapetanović, Adis Omerspahić, Dalibor Kolak, Mirza Dilić, Ademir Spahić and Nenad Vanis were proposed through the tender procedure for members of the UKCS Steering Committee, but the Government rejected the proposal and appointed completely different people to the Steering Committee, we also contacted the Minister of Health Vjekoslav Mandić (HDZ), who claims there is nothing controversial about this procedure!

- I presented a proposal that the Government did not accept. And it is not true that I voted against the proposal I presented to the Government. The tender procedure will be repeated, and these people are acting directors for three months – says Mandić.

To the journalist's statement that the Law on Health Protection was violated and to the insistence that he tell us on what basis the acting members of the UKCS Steering Committee were chosen, Mandić said that it had to be done, without explaining how they arrived at completely new 11 names.

We remind you that the Government of FBiH temporarily appointed Jasmin Kapetanović (president), Goran Stojaković, Benjamin Kulovac, Amer Ovčina, Ferihu Ćatibušić, Samir Muminović, Sulejman Muminović, Nusret Popović, Dragan Salomon, Amra Karić and Alma Pehlić (members) to the UKCS Steering Committee for a period of three months.

- You say someone will sue, great, I look forward to those lawsuits. The Government of FBiH is not obliged to accept the proposal. They were not elected, they were just a proposal. The Government had to appoint acting members of the Steering Committee, because it had previously dismissed the old Steering Committee – emphasizes Mandić.

To the question on what basis the acting Steering Committee was chosen and where the names came from, Mandić said that the Government of FBiH had to do it.

- They had to appoint acting members because the previous composition of the Steering Committee was dismissed. The tender will be announced again – added Mandić.

Given that our sources revealed that everything was done to dismiss the current director of UKCS, Rusmir Mesihović, so that Sebija Izetbegović, the wife of Bakir Izetbegović, could take his place, we were interested in whether the acting Steering Committee could do that.

- They can dismiss the director of UKCS and appoint an acting director, but again, everything must be resolved through a tender – stated Mandić.

To conclude our conversation, Mandić once again emphasizes that “everything must be resolved through a tender and that no one can do anything without it.”
