Mandić's statements and insults towards councilors after recall only accelerated his departure from the head of Centar municipality

(Patria) - The session of the Centar Municipal Council, where the request of the Mayor of Centar Municipality Srđan Mandić to reconsider the voted recall will be discussed, is expected to be held on August 10. The exact date will be specified at today's Collegium session at 2 PM.

The remaining items from the previous session, which was interrupted because both Mayor Mandić and the proposers of the items left, are also expected to be discussed at the same Municipal Council session.

At the session on July 27, the Municipal Council voted with 18 votes to initiate the recall of Srđan Mandić, and as stated in the explanation, the sole reason is his inaction and unfulfilled promises made to the citizens as the Sarajevo trio.

Mandić also defeated his opponent Nedžad Ajnadžić thanks to the votes of SDP, Naša stranka, and NIP.

Precisely, nine councilors from NIP are among the 16 signatories of the initiative to recall Mandić. Although this has caused turbulence within NIP, and partly within the Sarajevo trio, there is no deviation. The councilors who voted for the recall remain firm in their previous stance and will not change their minds.

After it became clear to Mandić that he had lost the support of the Municipal Council, he began to publicly confront the councilors, accusing them of working with SDA, of having SDA DNA, calling them hybrids, and on his Facebook profile, he posted pictures of 11 councilors, including several who are now in NIP but were previously in SDA, as well as two SBB councilors and one now independent councilor.

In the days following the recall, the councilors explained their decision, and they unanimously told Mandić that he is an idler and that he has not completed the projects he promised.

It is evident that Mandić has lost the trust of the Municipal Council, and the referendum will also show what the citizens of this Sarajevo municipality think about his (in)action.
