Mamić organized birthdays for Kolinda, comforted Karamarko, financed HDZ

Zdravko Mamić's family was one of the donors to Kolinda Grabar Kitarović's campaign, he was invited to the president's inauguration as a distinguished guest, and he organized the president's birthday celebrations. He was also one of the financiers of the HDZ campaign, and on election night, when almost everyone had left the HDZ headquarters, Zdravko Mamić stayed late into the night with Tomislav Karamarko. Therefore, it is only a matter of time before the HDZ or one of their satellites issues a statement about a politically motivated process, reports the Patria News Agency.  

We have already seen this in the case of campaign manager Josipa Rimac, who was moved to Parliament due to the State Attorney's Office, the defense of Božidar Kalmeta for cases in HAC, and Milijan Brkić also complained about his investigation for Karlovačka banka. Therefore, the usual folklore is to be expected.

The center of the HDZ could mention influence on negotiations with MOST, and the rigid, extreme faction - patriots!?

"What kind of country do we live in when this is done on such a day," was the first reaction this morning from Ante Kulušić of the HDZ to Mamić's arrest, and of course, he meant the Vukovar anniversary.

-This raises suspicions that the SDP government is misusing the repressive apparatus to divert attention from the increasing number of scandals of the ruling coalition, stated the official press release of the HDZ after Mamić was arrested for the first time in June.

Vesna Škare Ožbolt, a political ally of the HDZ and former Minister of Justice, questioned in June why Mamić was arrested precisely at that time, comparing the actions of the State Attorney's Office against Sanader, which reduced the HDZ's chances in the 2011 elections!? 

However, if it were up to the right-wing political option in Croatia, when it comes to Mamić, there is never a right time for his prosecution. After all, the amount of money that the State Attorney's Office mentions in Mamić's case exceeds even that which was mentioned in the proceedings against Ivo Sanader, and Mamić's influence can certainly be compared to Sanader's.

The Constitutional Court convened extraordinary press conferences because of Mamić, the head of the County Court justified his informal coffee meetings, and at the instigation of the State Attorney's Office, Police Director Vlado Dominić was under investigation by the MUP Internal Control due to his connections with Mamić, writes Index.
