Underage fighter: They took my childhood, my brother, and my eye; I look at the Government building and don't know what to say!

Demobilised fighters who have been protesting in front of the FBiH Government building for two months are spending this weekend in an improvised camp, Patria reports.

In response to the Government's announcement that it is moving, they said they will follow it until their demands are met. We remind you, the fighters are demanding the adoption and publication of a unique register of Army of BiH fighters, a veteran supplement, and the cessation of funding for all veteran associations.

A photo and status of a former underage fighter seeking his rights in front of the FBiH Government is circulating on social media.

- I swapped my school desk for a rifle. I was fourteen and a half years old. On May 25, 1992, my brother was hit by a bullet from the Chetnik side. He passed away and breathed his last in my arms. The last thing he said to me: „Take care of my children." Today I try as much as I can to be with those children, and thank God I have my own. On April 5, 1993, I was also wounded and I lost an eye and another part of myself. Today, in a state that took my childhood, my brother, and my eye, I live in a camp of FIGHTERS. I look at this Government building and I don't know what else to say – he wrote.

There are more and more such stories, but they seem not to reach Minister Salko Bukvarević, and even the announcement that funding for veteran associations will stop remains just a fog. No one in the Camp believes in words but in deeds, which have been lacking since the first day the fighters gathered. The number of people in the camp will increase when the Government and Parliament return from their annual holidays, and until then, about 50 fighters take turns and guard the Camp.
