(Patria) - The Ministry of Communal Economy, Infrastructure, Spatial Planning, Construction and Environmental Protection of Canton Sarajevo has lifted the "Warning" episode for the area of Canton Sarajevo, as well as the emergency measures that were in effect.
In all zones of Canton Sarajevo, PM10 particle concentrations have dropped and at 10:00 a.m. this morning ranged from 24 to 65 micrograms per cubic meter.
Due to the geographical specifics of the Sarajevo valley, as well as the prolonged presence of temperature inversion at the Otoka and Ilidža locations, slower air purification was recorded compared to other parts of Canton Sarajevo.
With the favorable weather situation forecast for the coming days, conditions have been met for the lifting of the measures that were in effect.
The current synoptic situation indicates relatively stable weather, with light to moderate wind from the south and southeast, and the presence of temperature inversion tonight and tomorrow in the morning hours. Given the forecast high daytime temperatures, the occurrence of temperature inversion will be short-lived and will not cause significant accumulation of pollutants, explained the Expert Body of Canton Sarajevo.
