Malinović: We are not favorites, but we will fight for every ball

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The handball team of Bosnia and Herzegovina is completing preparations for the European Championship, which will be held from January 13 to 30 in Slovakia and Hungary.

Dejan Malinović commented on the course of the national team's preparations in the previous period.

"We used these four days to prepare physically and to try out young forces. I think it went well. We will rest a bit now for Christmas, and then we will continue working and wait for the other players to join us," said Malinović, writes scsport.ba, adding:

"We are waiting to complete the team and then we will start working on tactics and preparing for our opponents. Our group is very difficult, we have to be realistic and objective. We are not favorites, but we will fight for every ball in every game. We will give our best and always go for the win."

"There are many of us at training and it is difficult to assess the quality. I think this needs to be done in the long term through cadet and junior national teams. We need to dedicate ourselves to these young forces because there is no future without them. There are players who will replace the older players with their quality, and I hope there will be even more. They must use their time and work in the best possible way, and strive to progress every day," concluded Malinović.
